Under the Hammer: My Favorite Lots from Today’s Christie’s NYC Auction
Today at 10AM Eastern Time Zone (UTC -05:00), Christie’s New York Important Watches Auction will begin. I got to sit with the newly appointed Vice President and Senior Specialist of Watches, Eric Wind, and ask him about a few of my favorite timepieces from this season’s auction. If you’re reading this after 10AM, click here to stream the auction and see what these pieces go for in real time.Lot #26 – Universal Genve Gold Chronograph Retailed by HermsUniversal Genve was known as a brand that created groundbreaking designs in the early 20th century. Help with my 15400
Greetings, as the title suggests, I am in need of some help with my new 15400. Just picked it up less than a month ago from a trusted seller here at TRF.i finished setting the date and time, and as I am trying to push the crown back in, I feel some resistance and as I turn the crown to tighten, I can hear this noise like gears engaging, the very sound you will hear when winding the watch manually. I managed to get it tightened despite this sound, but I'm wondering if this sound is normal ?.... I'm scared that I'm forcing the crown and wearing the gears?? Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated....
Dive watch under 3k
I am looking at getting a new dive watch under 3k. I am looking at a Breitling Superocean II 42mm and an Omega Seamaster Diver 300m 212.30.41.20.03.001. Am I missing a better option for my price range?
What 3rd piece to add?
Hey allCurrently have a 116613lb and a 15400 white dial.Looking to add a new piece. Any suggestions? Only interested in Rolex, AP and PP.Would like something on a strap, but open to bracelets too. No budget in mind, mainly concerned with resale value. Would buy preowned likely.Whatcha think??
